There is no reason posters for The Avengers shouldn't have had QR codes on them for a free download of Fury's Big Week or the Blu-Ray of All-Star Superman shouldn't come with a code for a download of the comic it's based on. ![]() There is no god damn reason downloads shouldn't be a dollar other than that it would destroy what's left of the direct market. It's available on every mobile device (and the website itself), lets you pick up where you left off on a different device, and every publisher uses it (except Dark Horse and one or two minor companies). I don't really envy the position the publishers are in, but there comes a point where you have to stop putting the cart before the horse and sell your fucking product. ![]() They don't want to be responsible for delivering the killing blow to the direct market that has sustained them for decades. ![]()
